History

Colmar

Colmar is a city in the Grand Est region, in the northeast of France, near the border with Germany. Its old town has cobbled streets, lined with medieval half-timbered buildings and early Renaissance buildings. The 13th century Gothic church of St. Martin is located in the Cathedral Square in the center of the city. The city is located on the Alsace wine route, and the local vineyards are specialized in the production of Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
